A repeat prescription is an item that the clinician has agreed can be issued without you having an appointment. These items are listed on the repeat list that forms the right hand side of the printed prescription or they can be viewed on line.
The repeat items will each have a minimum interval before they can be re-ordered (to prevent over-use) and a review date and/or maximum number of issues in order to ensure the appropriate monitoring takes place.
Repeat Prescriptions can be requested in several ways
- using the on-line ordering system link at the top of this page (if you have the appropriate access). You can register for this facility through the NHS App
- using the repeat slip on your prescription (ticking the items you require) and placing it in the prescription box outside the main surgery
- asking your usual chemist to order them for you
When ordering your prescription please make it clear if you want to collect the prescription from a particular chemist rather than collecting it from the surgery.
Please allow three full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account
We do not take prescription requests over the telephone to avoid any misunderstanding or errors and to keep the phone lines free for other calls.
